Nose Reshaping

Those who don't feel comfortable with the appearance of their nose can have it altered through procedure also known as rhinoplasty

This procedure can improve your facial harmony and self confidence. Surgery of the nose may also correct impaired breathing caused by structural defects in the nose.

Rhinoplasty can change:

· Nose size, in relation to facial balance

· Nose width, at the bridge or in the size and position of the nostrils

· Nose profile, with visible humps or depressions on the bridge

· Nasal tip, that is enlarged or bulbous, drooping, upturned or hooked

The procedure is a relatively simple one in comparison to other cosmetic procedures.

The operation generally takes one to two hours. Most incisions are made inside the nose but there are also external incision procedures. The one discomfort most patients experience after surgery is easily controlled with mild analgesics. A cast is placed on the nose the patient receives medication for swelling and is instructed to place ice on the eyes to keep swelling to a minimum. In most cases there will be some swelling and bruising around the eyes, for a short period of time.

Eyelid Procedures

Blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery creates open, larger and brighter appearing eyes. By removing excess or loose skin and fatty tissues which produce bags around your upper or lower lids, your eyes can appear larger, less tired, more open and brighter As people age the eyelid stretches, and fat accumulates around the eyes, causing "bags", or excess skin. Eyelift surgery is increasingly becoming one of the most popular cosmetic surgical procedures performed today on men and women.

The goal of the surgery is to remove the excess skin around the eyes and create a more refreshed, youthful appearance. Depending on individual circumstances, some may opt to have lower eyelift surgery and others may choose a non-surgical eyelift.

Face Lifts

A facelift also known as a rhytidectomy - surgical removal of wrinkles-, is a type of cosmetic surgery procedure used to give a more youthful appearance. It usually involves the removal of excess facial skin, with or without the tightening of underlying tissues, and the redraping of the skin on the patient's face and neck.

You can get a quick idea of the dramatic changes that a facelift can achieve by simply standing in the mirror and using your hands to gently pull back the skin near the ears.

A facelift is designed to correct all of these aging features, restoring a more youthful, rested appearance with uplifted contours and improved tone in facial skin and underlying muscle.

With the aging process, there is loss of elasticity in the skin, decreased muscle tone, and loss of fatty tissue immediately beneath the facial skin. As well there can be an accumulation of fatty tissue and relaxed muscle under the chin. Surgery is performed to improve the appearance of the lower two-thirds of the face and the neck. Often a forehead/browlift rejuvenation and eyelid surgery in conjunction with a face lift is performed. A cheek lift is also frequently combined with a face lift procedure to improve the central portion of the face.

A Mini-Lift or what is sometimes called the “Weekend Facelift” is a very minimal version of a facelift. This procedure often involves removing of fat, sometimes, the removal of excess skin.

The term “Facelift” is actually a very broad term encompassing a wide range of different procedures that can be performed to improve the lower two-thirds of the face and the neck.

Chin Procedures

Chin Surgery, Genioplasty/Mentoplasty, is a type of cosmetic surgery that is used to improve the appearance of a person's chin. This can take the form of chin height reduction or chin rounding by osteotomy, or chin augmentation using implants.

The chin should be placed to a point immediately below the lower lip. When surgery of the chin is conducted it can be done in conjunction with the rhinoplasty (Nose Procedure) or as a separate procedure.
